We would like to thank everyone who came along to celebrate this special night, as well as all those who donated a prize, sponsored and volunteered - all working together to raise funds and awareness for children living in families affected by mental illness.

On Saturday the 7th October, Kookaburra Kids held its inaugural Gala Ball – A Night of Dreams, and it truly was a night of dreams

Here's what our guests got up to...

Upon arrival, over 340 fabulous looking guests in gorgeous dresses and suits with fine bowties, posed in front of the Kookaburra Kids media wall, enjoyed champagne and canapés while looking at the wonderful prizes up for grabs in the silent auction.

Once inside The Star event room, the evening then opened with 2017 Voice Finalist, Fasika performing I Had a Dream while the KRS dance troupe meandered through the crowd before making their way up onto the stage to open the night with a bang.

Kookaburra Kids Ambassador and MC for the evening, Chris Bath, proceeded to entertain guests hosting a night full of dreams, entertainment, laughter and giving. Long-time supporter Count Charitable Foundation kicked off the donations with a very generous $15,000 cheque presented to CEO Pam Brown, on the night.

However, a highlight of the evening was the inspiring Dream video, featuring and capturing some of the many dreams of Kookaburra Kids’ children and our volunteers, who also played a special role on the night. Joining Chris Bath on stage, many of our present volunteers dressed in yellow capes took part in this fun but poignant moment where they were very deservingly acknowledged for their dedication to making a difference in the lives of Kookaburra Kids - we think they are all SUPER heroes.

Guests then danced and celebrated the fabulous night to the pumping sounds of The Martini Club, but not before they had expressed their amazing generosity purchasing many raffle tickets, silent auction items and participating in the live auction!

To top off the amazing night, the event raised over $50,000! This figure will make a huge difference to the children Kookaburra Kids supports.
