Modern Slavery Statement

At Smart Gift Ideas, we believe great products should be made with care — not just in how they look, but in how they’re produced.

Although our impact is not felt on a global scale, we take our responsibility to source products ethically very seriously. We are committed to ensuring that modern slavery, forced labour and exploitative working conditions are not part of our operations or supply chain.

1. Our Approach to Ethical Sourcing

We work hard to partner with suppliers who share our values around responsible manufacturing and fair working conditions. When selecting suppliers, we aim to:

  • Work with established manufacturers with reputable business practices
  • Build long-term relationships where trust and transparency can develop
  • Clearly communicate our expectations around ethical labour standards
  • Avoid working with suppliers who do not meet appropriate ethical standards
  • Continue reviewing and improving our sourcing decisions over time

Many of our supplier relationships have been developed and strengthened over several years, allowing us to work closely with partners who understand both our products and our expectations.

2. Understanding Supply Chain Risks

We recognise that risks can exist within global manufacturing environments, particularly when products are produced internationally.

While we cannot control every aspect of global supply chains, we take practical steps to minimise risk through careful supplier selection, ongoing communication and long-term partnerships with manufacturers we trust.

3. Our Ongoing Commitment

As our business grows, we remain committed to improving our understanding of supply chain risks and ensuring our sourcing practices remain responsible and ethical. We believe that doing business the right way matters — and we will continue working with suppliers who share that mindset.

If we become aware of any practices within our supply chain that conflict with these standards, we will investigate and take appropriate action.
